2. Services
We provide IT support services as described on our website and in any written service agreement or quote provided to you. The scope of each service is defined at the point of purchase or agreement.
We reserve the right to decline any service request that falls outside our areas of expertise or that we are unable to fulfil safely and professionally.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in GBP (£) and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. VAT will be applied where applicable in accordance with UK law.
Payment is required at the time of purchase for one-off services. For retainer agreements, payment terms will be set out in the relevant service agreement.
We accept payment via the methods available at checkout on our website.
4. No Fix, No Fee
Where a service is advertised as "no fix, no fee", no charge will be made if we are unable to resolve the issue. This applies only to the specific issue described at the time of booking and does not cover any additional work identified during the service.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
If you wish to cancel a booked service, please notify us as soon as possible by email at hello@theitworkshop.uk.
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours before a scheduled appointment will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the service value.
- Refunds will not be issued for services that have been fully delivered.
For retainer agreements, cancellation terms are set out in the relevant service agreement.
6. Liability
We will carry out all services with reasonable skill and care. However, IT work carries inherent risks and we cannot guarantee that all issues will be resolved in every case.
We strongly recommend that you maintain up-to-date backups of all data before any IT work is carried out. We accept no liability for data loss arising from services we provide, except where caused by our gross negligence.
Our total liability to you in connection with any service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that service.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website. Where we process personal data on your behalf as part of delivering our services, we act as a data processor and will enter into a Data Processing Agreement with you upon request.
8. Confidentiality
We treat all information about your business systems, data, and operations as strictly confidential. We will not disclose any such information to third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
9. Intellectual Property
Any documentation, guides, or materials we create specifically for you as part of a service remain your property upon full payment. Our general tools, templates, and methodologies remain our intellectual property.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
