Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

1. About Us The IT Workshop is a technology services company operating in the United Kingdom, with services also available to clients in Germany and the European Union. You can contact us at support@theitworkshop.uk or via theitworkshop.uk.

2. Acceptance of Terms By purchasing a service from The IT Workshop, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are purchasing on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these terms.

3. Scope of Services We provide IT support, consultancy, and managed services as described on our website. All services are subject to a separate service description and, where applicable, a written service agreement or statement of work. We reserve the right to decline any service request at our discretion.

4. Pricing & Payment All prices are displayed in GBP (£) for UK clients and EUR (€) for EU/German clients where applicable. Prices are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. UK clients will be charged VAT at the prevailing rate. EU business clients outside the UK may be subject to reverse charge VAT under applicable EU rules — please provide your VAT registration number at checkout. Payment is due at the time of booking unless a separate invoicing arrangement has been agreed in writing.

5. Cancellations & Refunds Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms. Please refer to that policy for full details.

6. Remote Access & Data Where services are delivered remotely, you grant The IT Workshop temporary, limited access to your systems solely for the purpose of delivering the agreed service. We will never access your systems without your explicit consent. All remote sessions are conducted using encrypted, industry-standard tools. We operate in full compliance with UK GDPR and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details of how we handle your data.

7. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, The IT Workshop's total liability to you in connection with any service shall not exceed the amount paid for that service. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Intellectual Property Any tools, scripts, or documentation created by The IT Workshop in the course of delivering services remain the intellectual property of The IT Workshop unless explicitly transferred in writing. You retain ownership of all your own data and systems.

9. Confidentiality Both parties agree to keep confidential any sensitive business information shared during the course of the engagement. This obligation survives termination of the service relationship.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction For UK clients, these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. For clients based in Germany or the EU, these terms are governed by English law, but we acknowledge your rights under applicable EU consumer and business protection legislation, including the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).

11. Changes to These Terms We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on our website. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Contact For any questions regarding these terms, please contact us at support@theitworkshop.uk or via our Get a Quote page at theitworkshop.uk/pages/get-a-quote.
